Lighting fixtures by Apparatus, Baxter, and In Common With punctuate the space while a custom leather and wood sideboard add tactile, accents. The original layout lacked flow, with its many separate spaces that made the house feel cramped. The designer worked on opening it up, introducing more functionality for the homeowners who love to host gatherings with their children and grandchildren. As a result, the kitchen, which has become the heart of the home, and the public living areas are where the family spends the most time together. Throughout the different areas, a material palette of wood, leather, brass, stone and woven textures accentuates the natural feel and peaceful vibe. “My inspiration came from the natural setting of the property: the large pool, the expansive green areas, and the sense of calm and luxury they create,” explains Cure. “I wanted to bring openness and tranquility into the interiors while maintaining an atmosphere of refined sophistication.”
